Requirements for being a Coach or Assistant Coach

If you would like to be considered for a coach or assistant coach position this season, you are REQUIRED to do the following:

  1. Select the Coach/Assistant Coach volunteer job on your childs registration form or contact your division coordinator!
  2. Complete the Volunteer Application Form ... ASAP before Mar. 15th. NEW this season ... you must login to complete this form - use the same userid/pswd that you use to register your children.
  3. Complete the Criminal Records Review Process (see below) ... ASAP before March 15th.
  4. Review and abide by the Coaches Code of Conduct
  5. Attend Coaching Clinic for the division you will be coaching see Coaching Clinics section below.
  6. Attend Coaches Meeting at the beginning of the season - date/time/place to be advised by your division coordinator.
  7. Complete End of the Season Evaluations for all players on your team. Evaluation form to be provided by your Division Coordinator.

Criminal Records Review Process (CRRP)

Forest Hills Little League is registered with the Province of BC's Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP).  Information regarding the program can be found at Criminal Records Review Process

This is a free and confidential criminal record check service provided to volunteer and non-profit organizations in BC whose volunteers work with children, vulnerable adults or both.  Criminal records clearance is transferable, at the request of the applicant, across participating volunteer and non-profit organizations (see Option 2, step 3 below). 

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS ...
Every coach, assistant coach and manager MUST do one of the following every season. Please read the options carefully:
  • Option 1 - If you have NEVER submitted an online CRC request before, then you must do the following:
    1. Go to the link:  https://justice.gov.bc.ca/eCRC/
    2. Enter access code:  JAS4JCM24V
    3. Click the button 'Request a NEW Criminal Record Check'.
  • Option 2 - If you HAVE submitted an online CRC request in the past 5 years, as a volunteer with any CRRP participating organization, then you can simply share the result of that check, as follows:
    1. Go to the link:  https://justice.gov.bc.ca/eCRC/
    2. Enter access code:  JAS4JCM24V
    3. Click on the button 'Share the result of a Completed Criminal Record Check'.
The results of your request (clear/not clear) will be forward to the League's Safety Officer via email in 3 to 10 days.  

Note: For those who share a date of birth and gender with a pardoned sex offender (vulnerable sector check), the CRRP will request fingerprints from you, as per the national RCMP policy. These prints will be at the league's expense - please submit your receipt to the FH Safety Officer.
